Twenty comics authors are gathered within the semicircle of the Saline Royale of Arc-et-Senans for the 2010 edition of the Pierre Feuille Ciseaux residency. There, they are challenged with specific narrative and/or graphic constraints, inspired by OuBaPo, to reveal the diversity and potential of the comics language.
Filmed in the act of creation, they offer a rare glimpse into artistic work as it happens — a blend of focus and incantation, constraint and freedom, technique and magic.
