Sébastien Magnier was born in 1977.
After obtaining a master's degree in film from the University of Paris III, he tried his hand at directing fiction through various internships, experiences, and training (student television, Canal+, Fémis).
He encountered documentary cinema within the journal of the Cinéma du Réel festival in Beaubourg, where he served for several years as an editor. Every year, he discovered a rich and varied production there. Vibrant.
He quickly began, with Grégory Ghersy, a film project about a flamenco dancer in Andalusia, which would later become the short film Andalusian Symphony.
In Formation, co-directed with Julien Meunier, is his first feature-length documentary film.
