Yaël Perlman

Lecturer-researcher at the Valence School of Fine Arts since 2006, Yaël Perlman was born in Tel-Aviv in 1972 and has lived in France for 30 years.

After studying at the International Theatre School Jacques Lecoq in Paris, she founded the Heevel Theater company in 1998, within which she experimented with various theatrical forms.

After obtaining her DNSEP in 2004 at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Bourges, she continued her studies in the postgraduate program at Le Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains in Tourcoing.

Since 2005, she has been producing video installations, short films, and documentaries that have been showcased in contemporary art exhibitions and international film festivals.

Her most recent documentary film, La Plaine de Sodome, won the main award at the Traces de Vies festival in Clermont-Ferrand in 2012.
