Valentina Barriga creates her first photographic films at ENS Louis Lumière. Her short film Parce que nous sommes tels, in collaboration with the writer Gaël Faye, wins the SCAM Young Talent Digital Arts Award. Her films explore major historical narratives through a reinterpretation of family archives.

Since 2014, she has been developing Playas Blancas, which was hosted in a writing residency at Ardèche Images, at Moulin d’Andé, at Corsicadoc and produced by TRIPTYQUE FILMS.

She works as an editor of creative documentaries and conducts artistic education workshops in collaboration with Ardèche Images (Lussas) and Le BAL (Paris).

She is the co-founder of the analog film lab Labo 18/24 (Lussas).
